When we got home from the pool on Monday, dad had the tent set up in the backyard. We roasted marshmallows and then the kids camped out with my dad. I wasn't sure Rylie would make it because she knows that we have seen coyotes in the field behind our house but they both did great. Dad brought them in at 5am because he thought they were too cold. Just like Pappa to be overprotective. They stayed asleep and slept until they had to get up to go to Bible study. The kids had friends over yesterday to play and swim and had a blast! It was really good for Rylie to be in the pool with another girl her age. She started jumping in and trying different tricks last night! Isaac also started swimming last night. He jumps in and is able to swim across the pool under water! They have both made such great progress with their swimming this summer.
Rylie moved up to the next size of violin yesterday at her violin lesson. She was very excited to have a bigger, "darker" violin and since Isaac has expressed an interest in playing, we kept Rylie's old violin for him. Rylie's teacher told us to start some of the finger exercises with him and she said she would set him up with a chart next week. He is very excited about getting his own foot chart!
We are taking it easy today!
