This past weekend, we went ice skating as a family. Well, Matt and the kids actually did the skating. Skating at a rink was much different than in our back yard!! But, to my surprise, the kids caught on and did well. Rylie really enjoyed it and fell some but no where near as much as she did when she went roller skating! Matt on the other hand... Well, let's just say that his feet were a little too wide for the skates and he thought the skates were hard and stiff as a board.  He kept taking breaks to take his skates off for a few minutes.  We are all back into the swing of a full work week. We were really spoiled by the snow days last week. The kids have done great in the mornings--I think it may be catching up to them though.

Update on Danny: I am writing to inform you all of the latest news on Danny. He has had a good few days--the amount of oxygen he needed had decreased and he and Stephanie were able to laugh together and enjoy each others' company in spite of everything. I am not sure exactly what changed, but the doctors asked Stephanie to sign a DNR today. They told her that his organs were beginning to shut down and that if he did survive, his quality of life would not be good. Stephanie agreed to have him put into a light coma today to help with pain relief. Danny's sister is there with Stephanie. But even though she has found peace throughout this whole process, she is having a difficult time with the decision to sign the DNR. Stephanie asks us to pray that Danny would be able to go home to be with the Lord with little pain and suffering. We know Danny is ready. Again, thank you all for your prayers and support through this trial in the life of my dear friends.
