"The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom you had put to death by hanging Him on a cross. He is the one whom God exalted to His right hand as a Prince and a Savior, to grant repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins" (Acts 5:30-31).
Off they go, looking for their baskets.
If Rylie's basket was a snake, it would have bitten her!!
You can see that it is right above her head in the picture (under the towel).
Isaac found his!!
And I had one gift for them to share, so
I tied them together so they could look for it as a team.
Isaac woke up again on Easter morning with a fever. I kept him home from church and am actually still trying to decide what to do about our other celebrations this afternoon. I did make him get into his Easter clothes for pictures (after Tylenol, of course). There was drama, as usual, with Rylie and her shoes. Thankfully, she pulled herself together for the pictures.
Easter continued...
Well, I decided to take Isaac to the Easter celebration at Grandma Brown's and my Aunt Debbie's. Like I said, he woke up with a fever but once I gave him Tylenol, he was fine. It is so weird! He has gotten up with a fever 2 days in a row, but after a dose of medicine, it doesn't come back until bedtime. When I put them to bed tonight, I could tell his fever was starting to go back up. What a puzzle!! Oh, I forgot to mention that Isaac thought he was getting the stomach flu on Friday after one of his friends had hidden some Easter eggs for him to find. He never did get sick, but learned his lesson: 4 eggs + full of candy + not sharing any = upset stomach. Well, that stuck with him so I didn't have any trouble keeping him out of the candy this weekend.
We went to Grandma's for lunch and an egg hunt. The kids had fun "performing" for family and then hunting eggs with Layni (Matt's cousin's little girl).
Rylie, Isaac, Layni, & Lyvi
After Grandma's we headed to my Aunt Debbie's house for an egg hunt with all the cousins and their kids. The kids had a great time. It is fun to hunt for eggs with lots of kids!!!
We have been blessed with LOTS of family and friends and were glad to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior with them. Matt's mom got the kids some "resurrection eggs" and they were able to tell the story after lunch. What a way to share the gospel.
"He is Lord of Lords. He is King of Kings. He is Mighty God, Lord of Everything. He's Emmanuel, the Great I Am. He's the Risen God who is the Lamb. He's my Saving Grace. He will reign forever. He is Ancient of Days. He is Alpha, Omega, Beginning and End. He's my Savior, Messiah, Redeemer, and Friend. He's my Prince of Peace, and I will live my life for Him!"
