We were anticipating a snow day on Friday but the snow didn't start as early as forecasted. So, instead, we had an early dismissal. Those are usually a little more chaotic, but hey, we'll take it. The kids' bus slid off the road and was stuck in the ditch. The bus was actually resting up against a fence, so the bus driver was afraid to try to get it out b/c she didn't want to damage the fence. Mr. Vitt (probably Rylie's favorite person at school) brought down another bus for the kids to transfer to. He stayed behind with the tow truck to drive that bus back after it was pulled out. It was scary for me when I heard about it, but by that time, Rylie and Isaac found it almost exciting!! We definitely praised God that everyone was okay!!!
With violin, b-ball and a Valentine's Party cancelled, we spent Saturday at home. The kids were bummed the party was cancelled but we were under a level 3 snow emergency and really weren't supposed to be on the roads anyway. So, they dressed for the wind and cold and headed out to play. The drifts were pretty high!! The kids, with help from Mamma, were able to dig a tunnel all the way through one of them.
(I was trying to wait to get a pic of both of them standing,
but Rylie was just too cautious and the wind was too
cold for me to wait!!!)
was too chicken to crawl through it-Isaac will!
