We have had a violin recital, the talent show and last days of school!! I finished at the beginning of June and the kids finished last Wednesday. We picked them up from school and headed to Northern Michigan for a long weekend. We visited with Sherry, Dale and the kids for a few days and then headed to Cyndi's parents' house at the lake. God has blessed us with wonderful family and friends. It was so nice to be able to spend time away from TV and technology for a few days; it is amazing how much more we stand in awe of God's creation and are amazed with the way He weaves the threads that create the tapestry of our lives. Our focus shifts to praising and worshiping our Lord and Savior instead of being consumed by technology and the busyness of our self-focused lives!

On our way up, we stopped at Outback in Grand Rapids. Isaac realized that we were in MI and asked the waiter if the people there liked the Wolverines or Michigan State. The waiter got a kick out of that! He said it was split 50/50 but he was a Wolverine fan. Of course, I had to let them know he was in the company of Buckeye fans...except Isaac. He brought Isaac's leftovers out in a container that he had drawn a big M on!!!!!

We climbed up a very, VERY tall sand dune near the cabin on the lake. Yes, I made it to the top, but Rylie was helping to "pull" me up at the end. I probably needed my inhaler!!!! That was a workout! But, the kids were able to go up and down and up and down and up and down....

The kids, minus Mackenzie, who had already headed back down
Isaac running down
Now, it is Rylie's turn
We enjoyed some very yummy polish food and a fun
atmosphere at a local Polish restaurant...
actually the only restaurant in town.
The Gajewski's always take a pic outside the restaurant.
This is the kids' silly face pic.
This is the whole gang except Ayssa's friend, Hannah,
who was taking the picture
Fun at the beach
Campfire fun
Singing praises to God!
Worthy is the Lamb!!
We went to Mackinac Island and took the 8 mile bike
ride all the way round. Rylie, Haley, Isaac and Grayson rode
a tagalong bike. Some great stories there!

The crew just hanging out...singing and laughing, of course!
More lake fun at the Tate's.
Jason, Rylie and Dom on the wave runner...
this was Rylie's first ride ever! She trusted Jason more
than she trusted her own Dad!
She realized she loved it, so she
decided to take the risk with Matt!
Anything for another turn!
Weee! Slow down, Daddy!
No, he loved going fast!!! I was the one saying slow down!
Buds
Matt and Dom...buds
Rylie and Mrs. Tate driving the boat.
They were looking for the waves that Rylie made
to try to make them splash in the boat.
Isaac was able to make 2 big splashes into the boat and loved it!
So did Mrs. Tate!!
