Pioneer Fort

Earlier this summer, the kids found a place in the cornfield behind our house that had no corn. They decided right away that when the corn got taller that it would make a perfect pioneer fort or hide out. Yesterday, the kids were weeding in the fort. So much fun! Matt took these pics b/c I wasn't about to walk into the corn. I could see way too many bugs and there really wasn't a clear path for me to get back there without brushing against the corn (where all the bugs were)!

The kids walked to DQ with Matt and Mamma yesterday evening. I decided to meet them there since I had already worked out and really didn't want DQ. In my mind, if I was gonna walk to DQ, I was gonna get a blizzard. So, I decided to resist the temptation and ate a pomegranate popsicle on my drive to pick them up. Good thing I drove b/c when they finished their blizzards, Rylie promptly said I have to go to the bathroom...fast! Of course the urge had passed when we got home! Gotta love kids!

For some reason Kinslee is enamored with cornfields and desperately wants to live by one! What a fun hideout!

And good for you for not having DQ-that takes some serious self-control!
