In my personal reading and devotion time and with the recent births of my niece and nephew, I have been reminded that we are to "love the Lord our God with all our heart, with all our soul, and with all our strength." And that we are to teach these things "diligently to our children and we shall talk of them when we sit in our house, when we walk by the way, when we lie down and when we rise up." (Deuteronomy 6:6-7) Building a legacy for our children requires us to provide an environment where they can meet and grow in maturity in Christ.
