What A Way To Celebrate!

Isaac turned 8 on Saturday and celebrated with a 4-1 victory at his soccer game. Not only that, he scored ALL 4 goals for his team! Way to go, buddy! He also celebrated with his favorite ice cream--buckeye! He may claim to be a Michigan fan, but I think we know where his heart is! We are so thankful for Isaac and the blessing he is to our family. God has gifted him with a wonderful sense of humor and we truly appreciate his tender heart and honesty. We love you, Isaac.

Another birthday story...We were shopping at the new Christian bookstore and Rylie wanted to buy Isaac a card for his b-day. Mom showed her that there was a section for cards for brothers and she replied, "I saw those and really didn't like any of them. I like this one for a friend. I can get him a 'friend' card b/c he is also my friend." Aaaahhhh!

Rylie and I kicked off our mother daughter dates at the Secret Keeper Girl Pajama Party Tour. We had a wonderful time together and with friends.

Grace, Ry and Tori in matching pj's for the big event!
More friends...Ry, Maddie and Annalee
I forgot my camera so I had to use my phone.
A little blurry, but you can tell the girls
(and moms) were enjoying the songs & dancing!
Taken from the Secret Keeper Girl website:

"What is a SKG? Well, she is lots of things! A Secret Keeper Girl values modesty, she surrounds herself with wise friends and she embraces Godly beauty. So, she keeps the deepest secrets of her beauty for just one man. But she also knows that she can share all of her heart secrets with her mom at any time. The coolest thing for you to know is that a Secret Keeper Girl is a masterpiece created by God."

What stood out most to me was the way they used scripture with the girls and put a big emphasis on the truth of God's Word and how important it is to spend time in His Word. It was also a blessing to see how God has worked in Rylie's life--surrounding her with friends at school and church who are also seeking to be girls after God's own heart. I am so thankful for each one of the girls and their families.
