I am thankful that I am able to stay at home with Avery and Eli. It can be crazy at times, but we love every minute of it. Those times when both are sleeping at the same time can be so precious but so can the times when we are reading books and Avery is intently watching Eli and smiling at him while he makes the animal noises that go along with the book. This is a picture of the two of them a few days after Eli started coming back to us after Christmas break. Love the look on Baby A's face! It says it all! But, that look has since changed to all smiles when it comes to Cousin Eli!!!
I am thankful that Rylie and Isaac are enjoying another season of basketball and that Matt and Dad are coaching both kiddos. They are both improving with each week of play!
I am thankful for the way Rylie and Isaac love their baby sister. I enjoy watching the many ways they express how much they love and enjoy her!
I am thankful for Matt and the way he works to provide for our family. I am thankful for the sacrifices he makes for us. Things can be tough when he is traveling, but when he is home, he is home! We are so blessed that he is able to work from home when not on the road.
I am thankful for reminders that, as a Christian, I am to deny myself, take up my cross and follow Him (Matthew 16:24). And that means that I will be called to set my self apart or allow myself to be singled out to pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace (2 Timothy 2:20-22) and to share Christ with those I encounter in these situations. Rylie had a homework assignment this week that allowed us to walk her through this. No, it wasn't easy, but an example of that uncomfortable grace that God gives us to grow us and refine us for His glory.
I am thankful for those frozen chocolate chip cookies that Mackenzie made when she was staying with us!
I am thankful for the cafe mocha's that Matt surprises me with.
I am thankful for these words from Rylie on the way to practice...just her and I..."So, what do you want to talk about?"
I am so thankful for God's many blessings, big, small and those blessings in disguise. I pray that I would just take the time to notice them.
