Valentine's Day Hype

Well....making and decorating a box for valentine cards has now become a competition, at least in Rylie's class. But Rylie is all about competition so she was lovin' it!!! They both had a good time decorating their boxes. And of course, Matt had to take them to school this morning so they didn't get messed up on the bus. Here is the fruit of their efforts...


As I begin to think about Valentine's Day and love, I think about the type of love we are called to have as followers of Christ who gives us the perfect example of selfless love. A quote from Sam's message yesterday also comes to mind. We are to be "motivated by love not duty."

"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind." This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: "Love your neighbor as yourself." Matthew 22:37-39.
