Isaac just turned 9! Today actually! We are so thankful for his sense of humor, tender heart, and his love for his little sister, Avery. I can always count on Isaac to entertain her or make her laugh. And, his desire is for Avery to call him "bubby." So sweet! Happy Birthday, bud!
We have been schoolin' it here at home. A few fun field trips and a trip with Matt to Wisconsin for a trade show. The kids have been involved with mile club and tennis at school. They also got to do the rocks and ropes course hosted by the school. We also have soccer and flag football going on. Our first experience with school in a hotel was successful. We were expecting a regular hotel room but were pleasantly surprised by a suite with a family room and full dining room and kitchen. OH! And a fireplace! So thankful for the way God blesses us and provides for our us even beyond our expectations! Oh yes, can't forget...Isaac is in cub scouts, too. Matt is the cub master and I am a den leader!!! Aaaahhhh!
Trip to the Zoo
for Rylie's mammal unit
Home School Days
at the AFM!
Isaac took a class on satellite imaging and Rylie took
a class on hot air balloons and actually built a 6' tall balloon
to launch in the museum. I think her team had a hang time of 52 sec.

Marching in the Labor Day Parade
Avery is so close to being one! This year has flown by! She is saying some words....more easily understood by familiar listeners. :) She is crawling, walking around furniture, and CLIMBING! Give that girl something to put her leg or foot on for a boost and she is up on it or in it before you know it! She loves to blow kisses, give hugs, clap, and love and pat her dolls. Um....6 or 7 teeth! The rubber ducky is still her favorite toy. She will stand on her own for several seconds but isn't at all interested in walking yet.
She emptied my dish towel drawer and climbed in!
Look at me, Mom!!
Climbing, again!
This time into her shopping cart...
And right up on to the end table!
Avery loves to wrestle with the kids!
She thinks she is a big girl...has to be doing what they are.
This is Avery as she is flipping over the kids!
Fearless!
Isaac and his friend Carson pulled Avery around on a big piece
of cardboard for about 10 minutes then decided to carry
her in a laundry basket! She loved it!
They had lots of laughs, too!
Best Buds!
Eli and Avery
Matt...playing MegaBlocks with Eli!
