Field Trip

Isaac went on his first preschool field trip on Thursday.  They went to a big warehouse full of those inflatable jumpies and obstacle courses.  I took a few pics but didn't get many action shots.  I was there as a therapist, not as a parent, so I was busy watching and helping kids.  There were 32 preschoolers and 8 students from another class.  Lots of fun!!  Not as traumatic as I thought it was going to be.

Rylie went to a birthday party for a girl in her class yesterday.  She went home with her after school which made me realize she is really growing up.  We are very thankful to have Aunt LeAnn at school to give us the scoop on the kids and their families.  We don't know many families there yet.  Just the families of her 2 close friends from kindergarten.  I'm not trying to be judgmental but it can be difficult knowing who you can trust with your little ones.

We had Christmas in Bluffton yesterday.  It is a miracle that Grandma was here to celebrate with the family.  We thank God for the time we were able to spend with her as a whole family.  Grandma was thankful that all the kids, grandkids and great-grandkids were able to be there.

Update on Danny:  Danny coded again Friday night.  His blood pressure had plummeted but they were able to bring him back after three doses of epinephrine.  He was doing well last night.  The doctors were amazed at how good he looked yesterday, considering the night he'd had on Friday.  The blood pressure continues to be a touch and go issue everyday, but the other issues are starting to get better.  They have started him on some nutrition (he was only receiving minimal tube feedings).  He can only handle about 1,000 calories per day for now, but at least it is a start.  The doctors said he can start moving his arms and legs, which he was not allowed to do until this point.  Stephanie said that his personality is back.  He's joking around and asking for Gatorade and suckers.  Even though he can't actually swallow it, he likes to have the taste of it in his mouth.  He is beginning to breathe over the ventilator some, Praise the Lord.  They continue to thank everyone for your prayers and support.
