Hmmm.   Let's see.  On Friday evening, Sherry, Dale and their family came in for a visit.  The kids enjoyed playing and having a sleep over.  It is always amazing to me how well they all get along.  Altogether, there are 8 of them.  We spent Saturday afternoon/evening at Mamma's celebrating Mother's (and Father's ) Day.  It was great to just spend time together, talking and relaxing.

Rylie & Isaac with Great Grandparents, Mamma & Pappa Jones

On Mother's Day, Rylie and Isaac showered me with their gifts from school.  Isaac had made paper at school and used it to put his  picture and a poem on.  Rylie had made a napkin or letter holder with a picture she drew on it and then she gave me a poem saying she would help with the laundry.  She also wrote an acrostic using the word "Mother."

M om you're the best!
O nly you can make my day!
T hough you do yell a little bit.
H ome is clean just because of you.
Is there anything I can do for you?
E very day you show your love for me!
      Love,
Rylie!

Talk about convicting!!!  I know I struggle with yelling, and even ask the kids to forgive me when I realize that I am yelling, but thought it was cute for her to include that in her poem.

Isaac also gave me a beautiful flower corsage to wear that he had got with Kim.  He hid at at mom's all weekend and then ran over to get it after breakfast.  I put it in the fridge until we left for church.  Well, when we are leaving for church, it is always a mad dash for the door.  So, I forgot it.  We got all the way through town and Matt said, "You forgot your flower!"  I knew the tears would flow if Isaac realized.  So, we turned around to get Matt's "cell phone."  Rylie couldn't believe Matt couldn't go one day without his phone.  Especially since we were going to be REALLY late for Sunday School.  We pulled it off, even though we were late, and Isaac was so proud of the flower all morning!

Isaac and I went to the zoo yesterday for his field trip and he got to hang out with his buddy, Tanner.  They have become great buds at preschool.  We had fun and had perfect weather.  Our Amish guy started putting the trim up today!!!  So, last night we were moving furniture to the middle of all our rooms, taking down trim and cutting out door frames.  I swept every inch of our house along the baseboards (or where they will be) on my hands and knees.  I was sore and tired today, but housework is put on hold until the project is finished.

URGENT PRAYER REQUEST:  My cousin, her fiance and her two girls lost their house in a fire yesterday.  They lost everything!  They had not gotten renter's insurance yet so there will be no assistance from an insurance company.  We praise God that everyone is safe but ask for your prayers for the trials that are still ahead.

I am so far behind on leaving comments to those who come to my Xanga blog, my Facebook friends, my e-mail friends, etc. But I dropped by here, saw those two kiddos whom I love so much, and their wonderful folks, & just had to comment about your great stories about them. What fun! And I love Rylie's poem, Isaac's quaint comment "dry as a leaf..." etc. Have a good rest of the week.
Carolyn :-)
