A New Post--It has been a while!

The trim is done!!!  Chet finished ALL the trim (new door jambs, door/window trim and baseboards) in our house mid-May!!!!  I have been cleaning, organizing, purging and reorganizing ever since!!  Our house was quite a dust-covered mess for a few weeks with all the furniture in the middle of the rooms and all the closets emptied.  We are finally getting our house put back together.  It sure did feel like we were moving in all over again.

We had a great Memorial Day weekend.  We went fishing, to a Caribbean party at some friends' house, and then to the parade.  I walked in the parade with students from our school district who participate in our animal assisted therapy.

It never fails that Rylie dumps the container of bait--every fishing trip!
This time it was right when we got there.
The girls did a great job of picking up all of the worms!
Notice-I wasn't helping!

Isaac caught the only fish of the day.
It was a small bass so he was upset that he didn't
get to keep it.

It also never fails that Isaac finds some stick or rock that
makes him a royal mess.  In this case it was an old
piece of fire wood.

Decked out for the parade!

We are in t-ball and softball season full swing!!  By the end of this week, we will have had 4 nights of ball--2 practices and 4 games.

The school year is basically finished for me and Isaac and Rylie has one more day.  Her class was collecting items for personal time capsules that they will open as seniors.  Rylie's teacher suggested that we write letters to them.  Wow! That was tough--writing what I would want her to read in 11 years.  It was actually pretty emotional, at least for me.  I was just thinking about what I would want her to know if I wasn't here when she graduated.  Kinda morbid, but that is the perspective God led me to take.  I even had Isaac write her a letter, or at least dictate one to me and then sign his name.  He has such a sweet side, but did include some humor, of course.

Grandparents Day, May 14th.

Field Day, June 1
Playground Pose

Sack Races

The kids did have a violin recital on May 17.  They both did great!
Rylie also performed in the elementary talent show today.
It was a pretty big deal since the kids had to audition.
