Camp Countdown...

Rylie heads to camp next week...for the WHOLE week!! It will be much harder for me than her, I know that! But, I am headed to Chicago with Matt after much encouragement from a dear friend. Thanks, Jess. I needed the extra push b/c it seemed like I was heading in the wrong direction, with Rylie practically in WV. Isaac has been very bummed about the idea of Rylie going to camp. He doesn't understand why he can't go. In his mind, they are practically the same age. He IS pretty much as tall as she is. And they do play so well together at home. So, we made arrangements for him to go to his own "camp" next week. He gets to go spend time with the Gajewski clan while we are in Chicago (on our date, as Isaac calls it) and then he gets some time at Reed and LeAnn's. Rylie got up this morning and said, "Wow! I have gotten to do so much this week with friends. It is already Friday. And I go to camp on Monday!" Then Isaac had to do the countdown...3 days!!!!!! He is the one who has been counting the days til his fun! AHHH!! That means I have packing to do...for everyone!

Rylie had another little friend who went to camp this week. Her mom (& my friend), Julie, gave me the idea of decorating a pillow case for Rylie to take to camp. Rylie chose a verse and decorated one side while the rest of us wrote her little notes of encouragement on the back. We also included the chorus of her favorite song right now, All of Creation by Mercy Me, around the border of the pillow. A special keepsake for her to have while she is at camp!
