Not the prettiest...But definitely Yum-O!
We then headed to the Jones family reunion in Fairborn. It is always so neat to see how the kids can play with and make friends with distant relatives even though we only see them once a year. They are already looking forward to next year. It was a good opportunity for us to show the kids that we all have choices to make in regards to how we redeem our time. Mamma and Pappa Jones were thrilled that we were able to make it and the kids even picked up on what it meant to them. They had a great time playing wiffle ball, water balloon games and indoor basketball with very distant cousins. God has blessed us with a wonderful heritage that has been passed on from generation to generation!
The indoor b-ball game:
Isaac was trying to keep Noah from scoring...
at any cost! No fouls in this game!
We got home and decided to go play tennis (after a burger at Red Robin....Yum!). The kids really learned a lot this year at tennis camp and I tried to listen so I would know what to look for and how to cue them when we were playing at the park. I have never really learned to play tennis myself but have always enjoyed trying to play. I actually learned a lot MYSELF from the kids' camp!!! Matt was impressed with my new found tennis skills! Maybe even a little intimidated! LOL!
anyway. The ball didn't make it over the net. Look where
it ended up!
When we finished with tennis around 8pm, we headed home. On the way, we realized the hot air balloons were "filling" up so we went to the airport to check it out. We love to watch the balloons! Watching the hot air balloons in the air, for some reason, reminds me of these verses.
Psalm 103:11-12
For as the heavens are high above the earth, So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him; As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us.
