God is Good!

We do serve a Great and Awesome God! On Sunday evening, we were given horrible news...that baby Lissa had taken a tumble and had a skull fracture. At that point, that was all we knew. Mom and Dad headed up there right away. We happened to be at church when we got the news. It was wonderful to see how our church family banded together and went right to the Lord in prayer. A few phone calls were made to other faithful prayer warriors. Lissa was lifted up to our Almighty Savior in prayer as well as Luke and Renee as they were going through this traumatic event as parents. How scary! On Monday, we received news that there was no fracture and that the fluid seen on the scans was most likely due to an ear infection rather than as a result of the fall. Praise God! We had prayed that whatever the outcome, God would be glorified. We really did not anticipate the answer to prayer that we received! We are so thankful for a God who works according to His will. We have been in awe of the way He showed His might and power in this situation. The kids had a hard time understanding how the doctors could go from saying a fracture at one hospital to no fracture at another. The only explanation we could give them was God. On this side of heaven, we often cannot understand how God works or why things happen. We need to rely on the faith He has bestowed upon us and the hope that we have in spending eternity with Him one day. We are blessed and rejoicing in what the Lord has done in little Lissa's precious life. Praise Him! And thank you all for your prayerful support.
