Happy Birthday, Matt (belated now)! Matt's birthday was 3/3 and we celebrated it with a very busy day. Started with 2 basketball games--the final 2! We were blessed by all the family and friends that came to support and love on the kids! Thank you, Mrs. Justice, Ms. Carol, Mamma & Pappa Jones, Chase, and Grandma Lynda & Grandpa Ron. Mamma Audrey was sick that day and Pappa Tim was on the bench!! It was fun to have him as assistant coach with Matt this year!

Someone get that kid a hair cut!)

We enjoyed lunch with everyone, spent some time at the new Christian bookstore and coffee shop, went shopping for Matt's birthday present, then headed to the Blue and Gold Banquet. Isaac received his Wolf badge and 4 arrow points and is now officially a Bear in Cub Scouts!

And into the next week.... Chickens!!!!! On Wednesday, Lynda, Avery and I headed to Cincy to pick up 6 pullets and 2 broilers for Ry's 4H project.

This was Matt and the kids setting up the temporary home for the chicks.
Getting the heat lamp ready.
Checking the temp. There is a specific temperature the chicks
are supposed to be kept at for the first few weeks...
Starting at 95 degrees for the first week.
And it is finally ready. The egg-laying pullets
The broilers....they will be dinner on our plate in a few weeks!
So cute right now! But they are still birds! YUCK!!!
