Really?! Another month has gone by!

Wow! I can't believe another month has gone by since my last post. We really have settled into a nice routine...even with Avery's and Eli's naps happening at the same time during the day--well, I should say naps at least overlap. So, it's not that I don't have time, blogging just hasn't become part of my routine yet. It is my hope that it will make its way back into at least my weekly routine, along with a few other things that have been pushed aside for the last few months. Avery is 5 months old now!!! I can't believe it! It has gone by so fast!

Over the last month....

Isaac was baptized on March 18. He has been waiting for a long time and was so excited that he was finally able to take the next step in obedience to Christ after accepting Him as King of his heart. We are so proud of Isaac and his desire to follow the Lord. Oh, to have the boldness and faith of a child!
Where did the March weather/temperatures go? We were able to get outside for lots of playtime! Even Avery. We are working on acclimating her to the swing. She does not so much like the feeling....of swinging, walking down stairs....

Holding on for dear life!
Seriously...that is high enough! I am done!

Rylie and I have been going through a book called 8 Great Dates as part of the Secret Keeper Girl Series. We are doing it with a few other girls and moms and are having a blast. We have completed the first 2 dates in the series and learned very important lessons about who we are in Christ. Date 2 was a Spa Day that was thoroughly enjoyed by all the girls...and moms, too! Thank you, Aunt DD, for making it a wonderful day! Here are a few pics...

This is from the brochure we created for our "SoS Squared" (Song of Solomon Spa)...A brief summary of the lesson learned...Message to the girls....

Real physical beauty is the unique qualities that only you possess.
God says that’s what makes you beautiful.

God didn’t create you to conform to others’ standards but to stand
out through your own God-given uniqueness.

I pray that God enables you to embrace YOUR beauty!
You have been created in His image and you are fearfully & wonderfully made!
I pray that you allow Him to use you in ways you never could have imagined!

Psalm 139:14
I will praise you, because I am fearfully & wonderfully made;
Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.

We enjoyed a week of spring break last week. We spent a lot of time at home as a family and with friends with a quick trip to Bluffton to visit Grandma Conrad and Ft. Wayne. We wrapped up the week celebrating our Risen Lord with a wonderful Easter.

For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection, knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin. For he who has died has been freed from sin. Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him, knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him. For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God. Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
