Just Wanted To Share

Was a bit discouraged and frustrated earlier this week. Oh, the ups and downs of parenting and ministering to the differences in our kids!  Grace and Truth...Grace and Truth....  So thankful for the opportunity God has blessed us with in discipling our three kiddos, Rylie, Isaac, and Avery.  Also thankful that He always seems to provide the reminders we need at just the right time (an impromptu coffee date with a friend never hurts)!
I received this via email from a blog on 6/27:
Genuine praise always feels good. It feels good to receive praise and to give it. Life is filled with opportunities for praise. Reasons to praise God are always around us if we open our hearts to them. Reasons to praise our children are all around us, too; we just have to pay attention. What a blessing for children to grow up hearing praise to God, praise for other people, and praise directed personally to them. The praise of a parent sinks deeply into the heart of a child. It is essential nourishment for his heart, soul, mind, and even his body.
Pleasant words are a honeycomb,
Sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.
Proverbs 16:24, NASB
Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable,
whatever is right, whatever is pure,
whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute,
if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise,
dwell on these things.
Philippians 4:8, NASB
When we dwell on what is true, honorable, right, pure, lovely, reputable, excellent, and worthy of praise, praise will be on our lips and our children will hear.
