What a Gift....

What a gift to start the new year.  A teacher that I work with (one of my good friends) and her husband have been waiting on a heart and liver transplant for him for over a year now.  Their names are Danny and Stephanie Foreman.  They received their 3rd call last night and headed to Pittsburgh for the 3rd time.  The match was good and it was a go.  Danny went into surgery early this morning.  The surgery was supposed to take 18 hours but they were done in 15.  The doctors said it was a miracle Danny was alive and walking around b/c his heart was far worse than ever expected.  The liver transplant went better than anticipated.  There was some trouble with bleeding during the heart transplant but it was able to be stopped.  The next 72 hours are critical--they will be monitoring bleeding and rejection.  Please keep them in your prayers.  They have patiently waited for God's perfect timing and Stephanie has a wonderful sense of peace that can only come from God.
