Camp Week

Last week, Rylie was at Scioto Hills Christian Camp and Isaac had a camp of his own. We were very busy! Isaac went to the Gajewski's for cousin camp from Monday through Wednesday-lots of pool fun, a swim and dive meet, and of course, pioneer play! Then, he spent the night with Reed and LeAnn on Wednesday. They went fishing and he helped Aunt LeAnn with lots of baking. He caught 3 blue gill!!! Then he got to spend time with me in the hotel on Friday while Matt was making a sales call. He went swimming and did lots of bed jumping/ surfing/ atomic elbows, etc.... He had a great week!
One of his catches...
Rylie and Lydie both enjoyed camp! They are already making plans for next year. When we picked them up, they were finishing each others' sentences as they were telling camp stories. Rylie enjoyed the outdoor activities...swimming in the lake, climbing the rock wall, getting thrown into the lake for getting 2 packages and getting blobbed! Her favorite chapel was when they talked about the branches being attached to the vine (or not attached). In her words, we need to be attached (by asking God into our heart and to forgive our sins) and also produce fruit. Spending time in prayer and in God's Word helps us to constantly check ourselves. Just because we are a pretty branch on the outside, doesn't mean our heart is in the right place. She came home with fun songs and motions to verses. The theme of camp this year was "believe!".

John 20:31 "But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name."

They just finished their stories on the way home...
Didn't take long before they were out!

Matt and I had a wonderful time in Chicago. He was there for business, I was there for the food! No, it was wonderful to be able to spend time together as a couple, nurturing our relationship that is a picture of the relationship between us and Christ!

This was the Chicago deep dish pizza I had been craving!!!
It was fabulous!!!
I think this is how Matt selects the hotels he stays at
when he is traveling for work...
How close is it to a Cabela's?
You know you are at Cabela's when there is a sign for
dog kennels and horse corrals in the parking lot!

It is so nice to hear the voices of kids playing school together upstairs!!!
