Pioneer Mower

What a busy day! Today, I met with my replacement at work first thing this morning. Definitely bittersweet! But, I do know that our decision was the one that God has orchestrated for this new season in our lives!! Then, we met friends for lunch. We were able to hear about Becky's trip to the Philippines. It is so neat to see how God has placed a burden on her heart for the people there in General Santos City and how she and her husband have responded to His call with plans to become full time missionaries there in 2013. Very exciting!! We learned today that it only takes $99 a year to sponsor a child through the Naomi's Heart Mission. Wow! And what an impact that can make in the life of one little child and his/her family! We can make a difference!

We also had violin. After so little practice, an hour can seem like an eternity!! But we have a wonderful, patient teacher! The kids really do surprise me with what they are able to do without any practice!!! Hopefully we can get back into the routine of practicing! Today was the much needed jump start!

We headed out to see Grandma Brown, and Pat and Jennifer were there. That was a nice surprise. The kids had fun entertaining as usual. They helped Pat hook up his camper and then Pat showed them an old push mower. To the kids, it was a pioneer push mower! They had fun trying to mow a small patch of grass. I had to give it a shot. Pat said that out of everyone (even him, not just the kids), I was able to push it the farthest!! More skills you didn't know I had, Matt!!! LOL!
