Home from the Hunt

The kids got up bright and early this morning to go dove hunting with Matt, my dad, and a family friend, Matt Hunter. They had a blast! They were able to climb on big round bales of hay, retrieve some dove (which Rylie wasn't crazy about at first), and go out and "jump" some dove (startling the birds so they fly off the ground).

It was definitely a successful hunt!

The kids can hunt with the men, but they also
need to learn that there is more to it than that.
Cleaning the birds...

Isaac provided some entertainment while they were hunting. If you are super sensitive, you may not find this funny, so just don't click play. We can definitely use this as a teaching tool as to how God made each little part of the body to work together, even in birds. Fun anatomy lesson on tendons and muscle movements! I loved anatomy, physiology, and biology!!!
