Randomness From Our Weekend

It seemed like this past week took forever to turn into the weekend. I think it was because the kids actually had a full week of school and Matt left on Monday instead of Tuesday. My little man, Eli, was sick this week. He was absolutely pitiful and miserable, so when all he wanted to do was cuddle I couldn't resist. Although he was sick, he was just as cute as ever. I love it when they hang on to you like a little monkey! And I got to use the nose sucker ALOT!!! I love that thing! He finally started to feel a little better by the end of the week. Here are a few pics of him hammin' it up for the camera on Friday. You can tell that the little guy is used to posing and performing for the camera. That Daddy of his is always testing out his camera....poor LeAnn and Eli.

Friday was Tiger spirit day in Mrs. Jones's class in response to an assignment that she had given the kids. She is such a fun teacher! We love Mrs. Jones! Rylie had to do a project illustrating the definition/concept of the social studies vocab word constitution. So, she adapted an idea she had heard that Uncle Reed used with his class and wrote a constitution for her 3rd grade class. One of the "rights" that she included was to have a spirit day and a contest to select the most spirited. So, Mrs. Jones played along and they had spirit day on Friday. Another 3rd grade teacher came in to choose the top 3 and then the class voted on the winner. Rylie won and was VERY excited! She took this very seriously and got completely "decked out" for the occasion!

This was the constitution she wrote.
I don't know if you can read it...
But, you can click on it and then zoom in.

This was our first Saturday without basketball, so we all slept in!!! Yay!!! Isaac was able to go to a friend's house for a few hours to play. It is so hard when you don't know the families...but it worked out well and they had a great time. He was SUPER excited b/c Rylie has gone to several b-day parties and has 3 close friends from school that she is able to do things with and he always gets left out. When we were talking about it this morning, Rylie said, "So what do I get to do while Isaac is at his friend's?" Our response, "You get to hang out with Mom and Dad!" She actually had a good time b/c we ran a few errands and hung out at a coffee house for a while just reading books that we had taken with us. She is growing up so much!

I made pizza dough this morning so that when we got home,
we could enjoy our own personal pizza creations.
Matt's was a meat lovers pizza and mine was a greek pizza.
I should have taken pics before we ate the
yummiest looking pieces....Here are the leftovers.

I have to share the kids' latest discovery thanks to some children on the bus. All you need is a flexible straw and moist armpits (the kids say it works better that way). In our family, bodily functions are just funny. We had lots of laughs with this latest, especially the first time they shared it with us! Make sure your volume is turned up!

Great pictures of the pizza! My family likes it when I make the dough, too, and they get to add their own toppings! Never thougt of a greek pizza before---sounds really good! Good for Rylie to make a Constitution. Wise girl you are, Rylie. Have a great rest of the weekend with your church family!
