Long Overdue!

As I finally sit down at my computer to update our blog, I don't even know where to begin!

We visited the Gajewski's a few weeks ago to watch the kids' drama camp performances. With only one week of rehearsing and practicing, they did a wonderful job! Very high quality!!!! Great to see the kids putting on a play that really proclaimed the truths and name of God! Rylie and Isaac would love to do something like that!

Mid-April, Luke, Renee and Lissa came down for a visit. I was able to watch Eli and Lissa on Friday of that week! It only ended up being for about 5-6 hours b/c Mom took 1/2 day to help. I was a little nervous at first, but they alternated their nap times perfectly! They were only awake for about 1 to 1 1/2 hours together. What made it most difficult was that Lissa doesn't know us that well and she definitely doesn't know my house, so I had to be right with her or she cried. But, all in all, it was a fun day. Thank you, Uncle Matt, for your help!

Just a little squeeze...
She is soooo funny!
Oh...It was all a trick to get my paci! Hey!
Aunt Sarah, why can't I have it?!

Isaac has been participating in the mile club at school. We were very surprised he wanted to participate b/c he NEVER wants to run and always has to take a break. Although, he did do well at the 5K he ran last year. He broke a first grade record for the "pacer" in gym class and has finished well in the mile club runs. I guess he was very humble and didn't brag when he finished 1st on the first day b/c the gym teacher said something to LeAnn about how rare it is for a kid not to showboat! He is having so much fun! We were glad this was something he could do without Rylie. She seemed to think she had better things to do with her time. Way to go, Isaac!

I guess I am caught up to Easter Weekend. I love celebrating what Christ did for me on the cross and in His victory over death in the resurrection!

Let no one caught in sin remain
Inside the lie of inward shame
But fix our eyes upon the cross
And run to Him who showed great love
And bled for us
Freely You've bled for us

Christ is risen from the dead
Trampling over death by death
Come awake, come awake
Come and rise up from the grave
Christ is risen from the dead
We are one with Him again
Come awake, come awake
Come and rise up from the grave

Beneath the weight of all our sin
You bowed to none but heaven's will
No scheme of hell, no scoffer's crown
No burden great can hold You down
In strength You reign
Forever let Your church proclaim

O death, where is your sting?
O hell, where is your victory?
O church, come stand in the light
The glory of God has defeated the night

O death, where is your sting?
O hell, where is your victory?
O church, come stand in the light
Our God is not dead
He's alive! He's alive!

We enjoyed celebrating with our extended families on Saturday and Sunday!

The kids didn't have school on Monday so we enjoyed time together, just the 4 of us. We ended up at the driving range. I even hit a few balls but no one had the camera to capture that!!!

Rylie is my thinker...even about the golf swing.
