May has been a blur....

I can't believe that May is more than half way over already! Only 2 weeks left of school for the kids! May has been filled with end of year field trips, field days, and other school events. The violin recital is coming up which is always the same Sunday as their closing program for the Triple C program at church. Never a dull moment; always something to do, somewhere to run to.

We spent last weekend in Branson with Mom, Dad, Reed, LeAnn and Eli. Reed's band was playing at Silver Dollar City so we decided to take the road trip to hear him and enjoy some roller coasters. The kids love to listen to Reed play, but his new band has a REALLY good fiddle player and the kids are fascinated by his playing and personality! Very fun to watch him! Even I enjoy watching this band! The weekend was fast and furious but we enjoyed time with family. I didn't get any pictures at one of the restaurants we ate at, but they are known for the "thrown roll." They would bring fresh rolls from the oven and if you wanted one, you raised your hand and they would toss one to you. Sometimes it was a short toss, sometimes it was from across the room. Sometimes you caught it, sometimes it hit you in the face or landed in your plate. Very fun!

This roller coaster went from 0-60 in 3 seconds.
It was very cool that we were able to see the expressions
as it shot them forward on the track. Eli cried every time
he heard people scream as it took off.

Waiting...Waiting...

We have learned the hard way that someone always has to
"have" Isaac at places like this or he tends to disappear.
And there are many different methods we use to do this.

The second day in Branson Matt, the kids and I opted to stay at the hotel splash park instead of going back to the park. The kids had fun in the indoor/outdoor pool and on the indoor water slide. They thought it was very cool that they could swim from the indoor pool to the outdoor pool b/c they were connected!

We came home on Monday for Rylie's 3rd grade program. She had a solo part as Snow White. She did a great job but the highlight was the little boy standing beside her puking on the floor. Rylie was a trooper. I could smell it from where I was sitting and would have had to run out, but she stood there without wavering.

Patiently waiting for her part to start

We have plans to celebrate my bday this weekend with Thoman's fried chicken, baked beans, mashed potatoes, and a Dairy Queen cake. Luke, Renee and Lissa will be coming in this weekend! Yay! We also have plans to launch rockets with friends on Saturday evening. Super exciting!
