It was a very wonderful, relaxing, super long weekend! The kids had Tuesday off, too, which made it nice. They were able to be here to spend some time with Eli. He loves having them here (I do, too)! He saw them in a picture today and was actually looking for them....waving, looking around, crawling to find them. So sweet!
The kids started their weekend on Saturday morning just like a school morning. Up at 6am! To dove hunt! Yes, I went back to bed in the quiet house. They don't actually get to hunt, but they get to be there. Dove hunting doesn't require them to be still and quiet, so it makes it much more fun and tolerable for all involved. They definitely enjoyed the fruits of the hunt...bacon-wrapped dove that Pap grilled on Monday.
Breakfast before the hunt
(It was much easier to get them up and going
to go hunting than it is for school!)

Teacher Inservice Day...
No School! Cousin Time!

Eli is "getting" Isaac!

Now it is Rylie's turn. Of course, Isaac had to get in on the action.

On Tuesday morning, we loaded everyone up for a trip to the Boy Scout store to get Isaac's gear for his Pack Meeting that evening. He has been sooooo excited about Cub Scouts! So thankful a friend pointed us in the direction for a troop.
My proud Cub Scout
