We saw the baby elephant scooping up dirt and throwing it
on its back to use as sunscreen!
These animals walked right across the path in front of us
in one of the aviaries. Avery tried to reach out and touch them
as she was waving "hi," and Eli was screaming they were going to get him...
The Chinese Deer and Chinese Pheasant
Our timing was perfect for the polar bears....feeding time!
The Gang
We had our final Pack Meeting of the year for Cub Scouts on Monday. Isaac is officially a Webelo! Monday was the much anticipated "pie in the leaders' face day" for popcorn sales awards. Isaac sold the amount required to be able to throw one pie and was also top salesman in the Pack so he earned a 2nd pie...
"Oh, Isaac, Mr. Wilson is not bald like your dad...."
Pretty sure that he already knew that and
the swipe over the top of the head was intentional!
We have been spending a lot of time outside...playing, getting the pool ready. And, it is almost there after hours and hours of cleaning and patching from those darn mice who made a nest (really nestS) in the pool over the winter. Thank you, Matt, for all your hard work to get it ready for us to enjoy! I know it has been one headache after another. Really just need summer temperatures now to warm that water up!!! We are ready!
Avery enjoying the time outside...
she would play outside all day if she could.
Isaac spent the week in basketball camp.
Fun times at Sky Zone to end the week of camp...
Thank you, Mrs. King!
Here is Isaac trying out some moves as he jumps off the wall.
If you can't tell by looking at him, he was dripping with sweat!
An hour of jumping wore these kids out!
Rylie flipping off the trampolines into the foam pit...
And we ended our week with a celebration of
National Doughnut Day!
Mmmmm. I love days like this! The kids can't believe such days exist!
I told them I shared my birthday with National Chocolate Chip Day!
There is a day for pretty much everything!!! We had some good laughs when we
pulled up those websites and read through the lists with the kids!
Rylie's birthday: National Hermit Day
Isaac's birthday: White Cane Safety Day
Avery's birthday: Sandwich Day and Housewife's Day
(Matt commented, "That's kinda funny cuz that's how she got here.")
Matt's birthday: "I Want To Be Happy" Day, National Anthem Day,
If Pets Had Thumbs Day, National Peach Blossom Day
One of my personal favorites...Dad's birthday, February 20th...
National Hoodie Hoo Day!
(Look it up!)
